Before

The Concept: Bold Excellence

The school’s brand bolsters well-rounded achievement but at its core remains humble, welcoming, and grounded in simple unwavering values. The creative direction aimed to honor that bold excellence and authentic commitment. Drawing inspiration from the school’s existing brand DNA, we built upon the existing identity’s geometric forms, sharp confident angles, and a vibrant royal blue, all defining elements that signal movement, action, and determination. To prevent the school from being perceived solely through an athletic lens, academically driven motifs were layered in, including patterns inspired by the traditional plaid uniforms and typography with a scholarly tone. Warm wood tones and subtle neutrals softened the visual edge, creating balance between pride and approachability.
In the interior spaces, the brand language translated into a design system that celebrates collaboration, flexibility, and belonging. Formerly gray and institutional corridors became bright, student-centric environments, featuring fresh and light finishes, large-scale graphics that communicate purpose, and intentional seating spaces that encourage conversation and collaboration.
Ultimately, the concept reinvigorates the school’s campus culture, creating a space where students and families are proud to experience every day. It captures a legacy of persistence while creating a space for a future of innovation.

The custom display is set right outside of the admissions office, providing a clear communication tool for the enrollment team to use to articulate key student offerings.

Overview

Excelling in academics, faith, and athletics, this K-12 private school has an impressive record of success over the past 70 years. Despite its accomplishments, the school campus lacked a cohesive brand presence with a facility experience that felt outdated. My objective was to elevate the campus experience to parallel the brand’s prestige through a cross-campus branded signage program while transforming key interior spaces, ensuring the school’s legacy is celebrate and has a runway for future growth. The high school and lower school were first evaluated as key touring spaces while the middle school received a comprehensive remodel throughout the building.

After

Flexible Seating

The original lockers were replaced with sleek, multi-purpose nook benches, allowing opportunity for small group gatherings and a waiting area. The geometric slash motif is utilized in the scripture mural to the right for consistency across Middle and High School buildings.
